Sticking to basics.....

Hello friends....College has commenced, but attending lectures as usual is not hot favourite...The main event SYZYGY '10,Annual Social Gathering was innaugurated by our Principal yesterday....Was the reason for double rejoice for all of us being Makar Sankranti too...!!!!!
We had fun and even did some jigs on the "Dhol Tashe" that accompanied us...Respecting the tradition we also flew kites...Many were seen hovering in the sky in no time....The site looked awesome with some paper crackers joining the party...!!!!! Specially thank you friends for making that day so memorable for me...
Next day(today) we were all set to attend the college practicals...Just then this haapened..
Apart from practical education our professors make sure that we do stand tall in the outside harsh world...As they say "Survival of the fittest"..So one of the finest professors in our college,Murugan Sir just narrated us with a story to start with....
He began....Once there was a man who wanted to have his so called "Paaps" to be washed away, went to a rower for a ride in the Holy river Ganga on a small boat..On their way,the man questioned the rower,"Bhaiya(brother) have you read Ramayana???"The man replied," No,Saahib." "Then your life has been a waste",said the man...Questions again,"Okay, what about Mahabharata???"The rower,"Ummm...No Saahib"..."Then I am afraid your life has really been a mess brother",cursed the man....After a while,in the centre of the river the poor rower asks,"Saahib,do you swim??"Man answered,"No,I haven't got any time really..."To this,he replies,"I am sorry Saahib because unfortunately there has been a hole in the boat and to save our lives all that can be done is swim...."
Further Sir added,"Students, you all know what happens next....The main crux here is that you all should stick to the basics...Remember,no matter how talented you are you gotto to be perfect in what you've learnt throughout your engineering, may it be your technical knowledge from the First to Final year or the ethics.."(This was supposed to be a taunt for a person in our batch but nope I am not gonna go in details...)
Seriously buddies Sir taught us a very good lesson as to,"Aiming the sky with our feet grounded...." Very often we tend to forget some vital basic stuff that really matters.....Mere idol worshipping and hardly putting meagre efforts is not gonna be of any help...We gotto believe in ourselves..Only then there is a chance of succeeding in all our endeavours....!!!!!!!!!
What say buddies????????

Something above blood relations.....

Heyy guys...here's one more incident that kind of stuck me straight in the heart....
As I am very much fond of 'Chaat',went to a place where i often go....And God,that man has got some magic in his hand cuz' the bhel and masala puri he makes is one of the bests I have ever had till date....That fine day when i ws doing up with my 'masala puri',there came a lady with her kid...
Now,the kid,5 i guess, as usual was busy doing crazy stuff...Stubborn as he seemed, his Mum kept chasing him up....And I must say guys, its not good sneaking in other people's conversation...But some do teach you good ethics....
The woman greeted the man firstly...They seemed to be familiar from ages...Both of them enquired of each other's life...And found both lead a good life actually...Pretty satisfied with what they had...And then the woman asked how his two sons were...the man replied to her that they were good...One did a job(clerk) and the other was in the Higher Secondary College...the man seemed contented with this, but confessed a thing to her that he always wanted a baby girl in his family(What a noble thought, not many of his status think like this..!!!!!) Well, the lady answered beautifully to him....She said,"Its okay Uncle, both your sons are pretty helping and understand their responsibilities, duties towards their family...And any ways I am always there for you whenever you need a Daughter...And I know, you know that...You've always been there for me and my family....I still remember, when I was small, playing at your house, those notorious things I used to do...Everything..!!! And this relation I share, sorry 'we share' is not less than a Father-Daughter one..." The man couldn't not hold up his tears...And i even noticed some rolling down his cheeks....
Seriously, friends in this cruel, harsh world where blood-brothers are in war with each other,we do end up finding some relations that have no defination as in..But mean a lot to those who are associated with it....Everyone loves his/her family..But some relations may it be Friendship,Love or the one mentioned above do strike a chord in one's heart that teach you loads of facts...With such relations I have learnt pretty nice stuff...Am sure somewhere down the line you all did too...!!!!!!!!!!!

New Year Celebrations....

Hello Friends,Sorry to be this late for the next blog.. The whole world was busy in celebrating the new year 2010 in some way or the another..and of course,me too....Well,first things first, wish you all a very Happy New Year 2010....May all your wishes come true and you have a flamboyant year ahead...!!!!!! Here's how we celebrated..!! On 31st, we bid adieu to 2009 and embraced the coming year by cutting the cake...we friends simply spent some quality time and played cricket under street lights(we are wierdos you would be thinking...!!!! )Next day(i.e. on 1st of Jan) we decided to go out for a trek... Rajgad(love trekking)..!!!!!!And I tell you buddies,we really had a very good experience...Some 120 odd kmph of cool biking and such a great trek simply thrills you...Reading about a Fort in a book and personally visiting it, is altogether a different thing...The vastness and greatness of the Fort just mesmerizes you...pushes you to go on a thought ride into the past(actually i did go...)I always wondered how did people manage getting to such a height??? and what were those people made up of???It took us 4 odd hours to get there at the peak, our legs asking for rest at suitable intervals...But trust me guys, once you get at the top,you cannot ask for more...The beauty of the fort leaves you in a kind of trance...The landscapes all around so cheer you up that all your pains vanish...And nothing but the lime water that you get there quenches your thirst!!!!!!!! The cool breeze wipes all your sweat out...you leave all your anxieties aside and forget about the things that kept bugging you...its just you,The Fort and the peaceful wonderful environment at your service...And then at the peak like always we recited "Shivgarjana"...after which we all ended up getting goosebumps...!!!!I would love to thank some of my friends who made this trek possible...firstly Zingo(Pratik Zingade) and Vadya(Varun Deshpande)..it was their plan...then,there was Dhappa(Dhanashree Palande),Sisou(Pratik sisode),Jinky(Ajinkya)...Love you guys...!!!! On 2nd,we friends had a small celebration at Friend's place(Ankit Machchar)...and i tell you we all had a blast....Music,dance(although I am not much into it,enjoyed Ganpati visarjan sort of freestyle thing..)..The corn bhel(trust me,my friend Karan, the GS of our college is just awesome at it...),softdrinks and the food as usual very delicious...After this, all had a game of UNO and BLUFF(Uno being my favourite)...The first two days were pretty cool for me...and I am sure,it(2010) has much more to offer...!!!!Lets see what's waiting for us in the future...till then take care folks...!!!!!!
